LONG ISLAND ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS

Founded in 1999, the Long Island Academy of Fine Arts was established as a studio school of traditional painting and drawing. Located in historic downtown Riverhead and accessible to all of Eastern Long Island, LIAFA offers courses in a variety of disciplines, from portrait and figure drawing to oil painting. The main objective of the program is to equip students with the knowledge necessary to create contemporary art rooted in traditional realism.

Each class meets for a 10-week quarter, except during the summer which has a different schedule.
